where do I start?

Response to a commonly asked question

I'm asked all the time by people and couples about where to start. Where to start when looking for love and where to start when trying to build a relationship or marriage.

My answer is always start with you!

In order for anyone to find true happiness and fulfillment in any relationship they need to start with their own heart. If you are unsure of who you are as a person, how can you expect to attract quality people into your life? If you are unsure of the things that you value as an individual, how can you attract a suitable partner?

We first need to know who we are as an individual. There are 11 areas that I teach to have a better idea of who we are. These areas a vital to our life and if we have a better understanding about how we feel about them it makes it easier for us to begin attracting the right person. If we are in a relationship now having both sides understand these areas, and by agreeing on the value they have in the relationship, a deep connection can and will happen.

These areas are: faith, family, friendships, future, finances, frustration, faithfulness, frisky, forever, feasting and flexible. As we look at these areas and know what we value in them, we can see how important they are to us and then any relationship we hope to get into, or are in now, will take on a new position. It's only when we know what we believe, and why, that we become a stronger person and thereby attract stronger people. If we won't compromise on the things we value, and force ourselves to stand by those values and principles, then we won't devalue ourselves.

If you are interested, I wrote a book on these 11 areas called Your Relationship Rescue Handbook - 11 "F" words to find the love. You can go to www.IncreaseTheLove.com and purchase it if you want or continue to follow here.

In future posts I'll look at each of the areas and help build a better understanding of who you are. It will also give you a better foundation on which to build your relationship.

Until next time,

Jim
